The North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) has agreed to outsource its software solutions in order to make its services more accessible to the British public, it has been reported. In agreeing to the deal with a local company, the NECC will have its customer relationship management (CRM) strategy overhauled, making it easier for individuals using the organisation's website to sign up for training, events and other goings-on, the Journal revealed. It followed an intense set of sessions with IT, marketing and trade sectors of the NECC to ensure that users would be happy with the implementation of the system. Commenting on the decision to use CRM, NECC head of systems Michael Dawson said: "Collaboration was the key to really delivering a product that was polished, refined and fit for purpose. "We look forward to commencement of the next phase of our project where we start adding the extras." The NECC was established in 1995 but was informally launched as far back as 1815 shortly after the Battle of Waterloo. |
