The use of customer relationship management (CRM) and software asset management (SAM) in the workplace is a true step towards innovation, according to a market expert. Speaking to Computing this week, Kate Hanaghan, a senior analyst with the Bathwick Group, said that providing a business knows exactly what it wants from an outsourcing deal, it can ensure that innovation does not translate into "business as usual". The expert explained that following her organisation's interviews with IT managers across the country, investment in new technologies like SAM and CRM has not been shelved in principle, though the priority has shifted to cost-effectiveness and improved performance. Ms Hanaghan stated that outsourcing firms are now matching demands for innovation in the workplace and following tests from the Bathwick Group, it is understood that market effectiveness, strategy and customer engagement are all getting much better, with several clear leaders. Market demands for outsourcing are growing by the month, according to IQ Business Group global director of technology Ewan Macauley, who told TMCnet this week that the cost-effectiveness of such solutions is undeniable by many. |
