Do you know what software you have and what you are using and do you have the documentation to prove the legitimate use of it? A vendor will want to see evidence that an organisation is keeping a record of the software they use and own and can also provide proof of licence entitlement or purchase.

Are you sure that you fully understand the terms under which you purchased your licenses? Are you adhering to the terms correctly? Some licenses may be governed by the terms of licence on purchase. The agreement may be varied and /or supplemented by, for example, the terms of maintenance or upgrades agreements.
